On May 7th, 50,000 protesters will join Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network (NAN) in New York to lead a city-wide slow down and pray-in; a civil disobedience march to recognize the injustice done in the Sean Bell case. Sean Bell was an unarmed man shot at least 50 times by New York City police. The court case against the NYC police department was dismissed last week with all charges being dropped.The Atlanta chapter of NAN will also hold a similar protest at the Georgia State Capitol on May 7th at 4:00pm.
